West Johnston High School AP Studio Art

The Eye of the Eagle Art center is sponsoring an exhibit for West Johnston High School AP Studio Art students June 3rd through June 11th 2011.

The AP Studio Art program is for students who are seriously interested in the practical experience of art. The program is not based on a written exam; instead, students submit portfolios for evaluation at the end of the school year. The AP Studio Art Program consists of three portfolios; 2-D Design, 3-D Design, and Drawing, corresponding to the most common college foundation courses.

The artwork that will be on exhibit showcases the students year long efforts. Each work in the exhibit is as individual as the students who created them. The artwork ranges from pastel drawings of Aleah Howell and Zachary Parks to Watercolor paintings of Zachary Bender.

A reception for the students will be held on Saturday, June 4th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The reception is free and open to the public.

Support the Arts and visit a museum, gallery or exhibit today! Our future depends on it.

Put a little color in your life, music in your soul and words in your heart.

Support your local artists and visit an art gallery today, or attend a concert of your favorite musicians, or purchase a book of your favorite author or poet.

We need them all in our lives or our world would be without color, without rhythm and without beautiful words to speak.
